Pronounced aromas of ripe black fruit and blueberries, backed by spice, mocha, fig and balsamic notes. The palate is generous with complex bramble and plum fruit characters, well-integrated oak and bright acidity, Structured yet elegant.

90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha sourced from single vineyard in and around the village of Quel in Rioja Oriental.

The wine is aged for 18 months in new oak (80% French and 20% American) and then a further six months in large (18,000L) French oak foudres. 

Food Pairing Rioja is known for its easier-drinking Tempranillo-based reds which are traditionally paired with local roast pork, chorizo and aged cheese.
