Sundried tomatoes are made by slicing ripe tomatoes into large pieces, then sprinkled with sea salt to preserve their nutritional values and kept in the sun from four to ten days. It takes approximately ten kilograms of fresh fruit to make one kilogram of dried tomatoes.
